Two Wheels, Four Paws, One Journey
We are Vero and Nala: biped and quadruped, travel companions ever since that little Sicilian furball left her life as a street dog to join my family.
Since then, she’s simply changed her mode of transport: from the road… to the road, but on two wheels.
She in her little trailer, me on my bike.
With Nala, it was love at first sight. At least for me.
Nala
Today she’s a medium-sized mixed breed with honey-colored fur, nine years full of energy, and a personality all her own:
- unconditional love for snow and fresh grass
- a deep dislike of water, especially salty
- a few natural dreads near her ears, which she proudly defends
She’s curious, enthusiastic, and always ready to remind me that the world should be sniffed first, above all else.
Vero
The truth is, I’ve never had a clear answer to this question.
I’ve never chased a straight career path or a definite life purpose: I’ve always trusted my curiosity, embraced changes in direction, and followed the need to try new experiences, to learn, and to keep moving.
In short, I’m addicted to travel.
As soon as I had the chance, in 2007 I began chasing the horizon astride a bicycle, with just the essentials and a bundle of dreams packed into my panniers.
Since then, I’ve never stopped.
Pedals & Steps: A Life in Motion
Over the years, I’ve traveled by bike and on foot, both alone and with Nala, across continents, cultures, and vastly different climates.
Each journey has taught me something—about the road, about others, and about myself.

The Spirit of Our Travels
For us, traveling means:
- going slowly when everyone else is rushing
- choosing the side roads, the ones that sometimes don’t even appear on the map
- meeting people and listening to their stories
- learning from the road, every single day
- feeling light and fre
- lletting yourself be surprised every day
- not racing, not counting kilometers: just living
Cycling is a mix of contrasting emotions, and it’s precisely from that combination that you discover who you truly are.
The Heart of It All
There is only one kind of success: making your life what you truly desire.
(Thoreau understood it long before any of us.)
And since life has a 100% mortality rate, we might as well focus on living it.
Truly.

tales from the road, of bikes, of footsteps, of landscapes, and of connections.
Our life without borders, one pedal and one paw at a time.
